Cultivation is an outdoor annual event in Detroit, catering to ambient, new age, and electronica music. In the midst of it all, Cultivation: First Edition manifested as the first in a series of vinyl releases. This double vinyl is blessed by Windy & Carl, Mazri / Imzra, Blair French, and Arthur Colvin. Each side represents one modern sound sculptor on this one time pressing of 500 copies.

This musical journey consists of mainly live improv recorded during the solar flares of 2015. The songs were stemmed together to tell a story of a solo space mission to the Sun. It begins with leaving the atmosphere and setting the course to exploration.
During this mission, things go wrong. Magnetic fields and unexpected debris cause the ship to malfunction. Repairs are capable, but transmission fades as the will to survive grows.
This is half of the story, as the second piece entitled "Coronal Mass Ejection" completes the tale. It will be posted later on, as it wouldn't fit on French's side of this beautiful compilation.
